Even no glare light
Nice even cool white colored light for reading. Bought it to replace a halogen desk lamp. Instant on no flicker cool and glare free. I thought the full spectrum light was a gimmick. It really is easier on the eyes for reading than the halogen. Lamp does get quite warm but not as hot as halogen.
Solid construction instant on no flicker. Clean lines. Substantially better quality than knock off full spectrums selling between $20-50.00.
Replacement bulbs cost 19.95 from verilux with no shipping charge. They are supposed to last 10000 hrs. In my experience some CF bulbs last a long time others only a few months.. so I guess we'll see about this one.

Very nice but note custom light bulb
this is a nice lamp but there was no indication when I bought it that it takes a custom bulb it's just like the energy saver bulbs that can be purchased at most stores but this one clips in rather than screw in they must be ordered from Verilux and they cost $15.00 each. Had this fact been revealed in the lamps specs or photos I would have chosen a different lamp but there was no mention of it nor can you tell from any of the photos.

Good implementation but not so great lightI found this lamp as very good assembled with high quality. But i think the light is not so good for office desks. The light spot has explicitly defined borders and shadow circle in the middle of this spot.
