Good looking lamp for use as an accent
The lamp arrived in perfect condition. It is well made and looks very nice on my desk. My only reservation with respect to the lamp is the amount of light it puts out. I anticipated a brighter light and one that lit a larger area. Overall I like it.

Solid QualityMy children joke about this lamp after my husband told them that it was "hundreds of dollars." You won't laugh at this though. It is high quality child proof knock-over proof (so far) and makes a great reading lamp. This is also recommended to treat seasonal depression for the winter blues in gloomy weather. The only downfall is that you can't count on this to light up a room. There is actually kind of a haze created above the lamp. No problem when sitting under it.

Very nice but note custom light bulb
this is a nice lamp but there was no indication when I bought it that it takes a custom bulb it's just like the energy saver bulbs that can be purchased at most stores but this one clips in rather than screw in they must be ordered from Verilux and they cost $15.00 each. Had this fact been revealed in the lamps specs or photos I would have chosen a different lamp but there was no mention of it nor can you tell from any of the photos.
